The EVO ankle stabilizer by ASO is built with straps and a dynamic cuff that incorporate the three main elements of an ankle taping application: stirrups, heel lock (figure-eight), and a circumferential closure. The cuff and stabilizing straps work in concert to increase the circumferential compression around the distal tibiofibular joint as the straps restrict inversion or eversion of the calcaneus.
